Richard "Dick" Paul Lee, 77, passed away on Thursday April 28, 2016 at his home in Nampa, Idaho.
He was born in Brigham City, Utah on November 23, 1938 to Parley and Helen Lee. He was married to Janet Hansen on September 16, 1957 in Evanston, Wyoming to which 3 children were born. Mike: (children) Katie, and Shelby (Shane), Pam and John Waltman: (children) Anthony (Tauni), Marty: (children) Samantha (Jed Hennis), and Tyler (Sarah). He was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren Gavin, Gaige, Korbin and Emma.
Richard made a career move to Idaho in 1966 and it has been their home ever since. Richard and Janet have been married 58 years enjoying traveling, camping, and raising their family, especially enjoying the grandchildren. As a young boy in Utah he started a life long hobby of racing homing pigeons, he was a member of the Idaho Racing Pigeon Association. He enjoyed this passion with his family until his passing. Richard retired from being a Federal Meat Inspector, which he did at local meat processing plants here in the valley.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and 1 daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
The family will greet friends at a visitation on Sunday at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday at the Canyon Hill Cemetery at 1:00 pm. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
