Our loved Husband, Father, Papa and Friend, born April 20, 1944 in Nampa to parents, Arnold and Blanche Mecham, Dick passed away on August 8, 2014. He will be missed by many. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad where he worked since 1962 as a switchman, brakeman, conductor, yardmaster and trainer. He was President of J.O.T., a railroad organization where he traveled all over the system, visiting all the clubs. Currently he was President of N.A.R.V.E., another railroad organization. His greatest love was Secretary-Treasure of the Mens Association at Centennial Golf Course, setting up tournaments for many years. He loved his family; wife, Diana; daughters, Kris and Kerri; and grandsons, Tyler, EJ, and Zach. Thanks go to friends and family for their support and to the ICU doctors and staff of St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa for the care and concern they gave Dick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at the St. Pauls Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt Ave., Nampa, Idaho. A viewing will be held in the foyer of the church one hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
