Richard John White passed away Friday May 9, 2014 at the age of 61 at home in Nampa. Richard was born on August 25, 1952 to parents John and Betty White of Nampa. He was the oldest of 5 children. He completed his primary education in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1970. He earned an Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics from Boise Junior College and also a degree in Diesel Automotive Mechanics from Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Richard worked most of his life as an automotive mechanic. He had a multitude of other interests and hobbies, which included attending racing events and even racing his own car at Meridian Speedway when he was younger. He enjoyed photography and delighted in taking candid photos of his family. He was an organic farmer and sold his home-grown vegetables at the Nampa and Caldwell Farmers Markets. He was an accomplished leather-smith and enjoyed selling his creations at various fairs and craft shows in the valley. He recently began bowling on a league in Nampa and was very excited to be able to meet new people and have fun bowling. Richard is survived by his children, Donna White of Bremerton, WA, Bobbie Stinger and her husband David Stinger of Meridian, ID, Jerry White and his wife Jane White of Pueblo, Co, Betty White of Sturgis, KY, Clifford White of Sturgis, KY and Kenneth White of Sturgis, KY. He is also survived by his parents, John and Betty White of Nampa, his siblings Janet Rush and her husband Michael Rush of Nampa, Barbara Wade and her husband Timothy Wade of Nampa, Elaine Foster and her husband Tom Foster of Caldwell and Elmer White and his wife Amie White of Caldwell. He is also survived by dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Richards life on Saturday May 24, 2014 at 2 pm at the LDS Church at 3305 W Kuna Rd, Kuna ID 83634. Richards kind heart and gentle nature will be missed by many, many people in the community.
