Robert Hume Burge, II, 54, of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at a Boise hospital after a courageous fight with liver cancer. Robert was born on February 12, 1957 to Robert and Ethel Burge in Lancaster, CA. Although he worked in several different fields, he enjoyed farming the most.

He met his wife Mary and they were married on June 26, 2004 at Horsethief Reservoir. He thought of her 5 children as his own and was so pleased that he finally had a family of his own.

Robert loved being outdoors and felt at home in the mountains. His favorite pass times were hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and his stepdaughter, Karly.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his stepchildren, Jacob, Maddie, L.C. and Halen Seitz; his mother, Ethel Burge of Imperial Beach, CA; his sister, Janice Van Voorst also of Imperial Beach, CA; his sister, Candy Walker and her husband, Eric of Cabot, AR; his brother, Ron Burge and his wife, Donna of Nampa; his nephews, Justin, Brian and Brad Burge and their families of Nampa and many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Roberts life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Nampa Elks Lodge. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
