Robert Lee "Bob" Davis, 81, of Nampa, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at a Nampa retirement center. He was born on April 18, 1932 to Claude and Melvina Davis in Ontario, OR. He was educated in Ontario and graduated in 1950 from Ontario High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army where he learned the art of baking and remained in the service for 9 yrs.
After he was honorably discharged from the service, he came home to Ontario where he met and married Mary Hogue in 1959. They moved to Idaho where he became a professional Baker owning his own bakery located in the M & W Market in Nampa. Nampa is where they made their home and raised their 4 children.
In 1986, Bob and Mary moved to Calif., where he eventually retired. In 1999, they moved back to Idaho to be closer to their family.
Bob was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary; his children, Donna Schulhauser (Mark), Steven (Kathleen), Karen Davis and Gary; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A vigil service with viewing will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Private burial will be in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise. An online guest book may be signed at www.nampafuneralhome.com
