Robert R. Lopez. 66, of Nampa, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 8, 2012 surrounded by his family.

The funeral service will be held at 4pm on November 15th, at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave South, Nampa, ID.

"Bobby", as he was known by friends and family, was born on December 12, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to the parents of Joe and Effie Lopez and raised in Rigby, ID. In 1968 he married Jeanine Letham, and moved to Wyoming. It was there that his first two children, Andrea and Tyson were raised. Bobby later returned to Idaho and had a daughter Joey. In 1998 he married his soul mate Linda Carter.

Bobby held many jobs throughout his career, heavy equipment mechanic being his favorite. His journeys took him east to west, from the Alaska pipeline to the shores of Guyana South America, offering his skilled hands to help others. He was a "jack of all trades", and those that he touched certainly benefited.

Bobby enjoyed many activities such as gardening, fishing, camping, poker, and watching football being his favorite. These activities associated him with many different people, and his notorious banter will be missed by all.

On his birthday last year, after battling liver cancer, he received a special gift, a new liver. Unfortunately in August of this year the cancer returned to his new liver and became too much for him to endure.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jimmy, Joe and Jake; his sisters Joey and Millie; and daughter Joey Amber.

He is survived by his wife Linda; his brother Ralph; sisters Carmen and Pricilla; his daughter Andrea (Dan Skoric), son Tyson; grandchildren Riley, Caden and Jericho; step children Paula, Jake, Lonnie and Maria; step-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Transplant Association.
