Robert (Bob) Sam, 71, of Nampa passed away Oct. 27, 2013 at a Meridian hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Nampa Funeral Home-Yraguen Chapel. Robert was born June 20, 1942 in San Francisco, CA and was raised in Wadsworth, NV. He married the love of his life and best friend, Lucille George in September 1961 and became father to her three children, Kathy, David, and Cecilia. They moved to Nampa and had two more children, Ron and Gary. Bob served in the Marine Corp Reserve, worked as a journeyman painter and served as a council member and tribal chairman of the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe. He enjoyed running his Indian taco stand at powwows with his family and traveling with his wife. Robert is survived by his wife, Lucille, his children, Kathy (Louis) Trujillo, David (Bonnie) Gallegos, Cecilia (Armondo) Solis, Ron (Deena) Sam and Gary (Elizabeth) Sam, a brother, Calvin (Kris) Winup, a sister, Louella (Burt) Thomas, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
