Robert Joseph Tierney Jr. (Bob), 78, was joyfully reunited in Heaven with his wife, Margo on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He passed away after a short battle with bone cancer at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab of Holly surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com He was the husband of Margo for 48 beautiful years, and father of three grown children. Bob filled his days with music, love, and capturing treasured family moments through photography. Bob was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 15, 1936. He served as a Marine for 4 years, and then married his long time childhood nemesis & neighbor, Margo Pearson, on December 31, 1960. Seeing Bob for the first time in his Marine uniform instantly changed Margos previously negative opinion of him, and an enduring love blossomed. As a couple, their commonalities were many, and their differences complimentary. The couple followed Bobs brother, Bill, and his wife, Dee, west to Idaho to start a family. They later relocated to Southern California, where they lived for 30 years, until they retired and moved back to Nampa, Idaho in September of 2001. Though Bob will be greatly missed, his life will be celebrated by his three children, Lori Tierney, Rob Tierney, Mary Jean and her husband Jose Rico; two beautiful grandchildren, Lucianna and Matthew Rico; brother Bill and his wife, Dee Tierney; and sister-in-law Annette Tierney. In addition, Bob will be missed by 12 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margo Tierney; his Mother, Theresa Tierney; father Robert J Tierney Sr.; Aunt Laura Carmichael; and his beloved younger brother John Tierney. Bob will be remembered for his passion of music and photography, love of family, seemingly endless optimism, compassion, generosity and acceptance of others. All of these beautiful traits were delivered through an uncanny sense of humor and quick wit.
