Roberta T. (Moehlman) Olsen passed away from natural causes at the age of 96 years on September 29, 2014. She was born on April 9, 1918 to Walter and Theresa (Crane) Moehlman in Muskegon, Michigan. Roberta married Ernest W. Olsen on Oct. 12, 1940 at Calvary Baptist Church in Muskegon, Michigan. She was the mother to Pat (Olsen) Steiner of Melba, Idaho and David Olsen of So. Salt Lake City. Utah. In 1955 Roberta and family moved from Michigan to Escondido, CA. then to La Habra, CA. After moving to Eugene, Oregon, they eventually moved to Nampa, ID. to be closer to her daughter and family. Roberta was a homemaker and mother when her children were growing up and a devoted wife all of her married life. As a Christian, Roberta was an active participant in church worship wherever she lived. She devoted a great deal of time working with children as a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader. Roberta is survived by her husband Ernie of Nampa, two sisters in law, Arlene Olsen of Arleta, CA. and Peg Hailey of England; her daughter Patricia and husband Rev. Russell Steiner of Melba, ID.; her son David and wife Lorie of So. Salt Lake City, UT; granddaughter Pam Davis and husband Wayne, and grandson Eric Steiner and wife Jennifer of Nampa; granddaughters Kelly Olsen of So. Salt Lake City, UT. and Jennifer Olsen of Patton , CA.; great grandchildren Rachel and Lauren Davis, and Emma and Joshua Steiner of Nampa, Idaho and Kiera Olsen of Patton, CA.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a special second cousin Cynthia Moreno of Encinitas, CA. Robertas celebration of life will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, 1 pm at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. in Nampa with burial to follow at the Melba Cemetery.
