Roger E. Jeppesen, 84, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born on September 11, 1941, in Brigham City, Utah, Roger lived a life marked by kindness, honesty, and a steady devotion to the people around him. He will be remembered with love for the warmth he shared, the laughter he brought, and the generous spirit that shaped so much of his life.
Roger built a meaningful career as a banker and real estate investor, work that reflected his practical mind and strong sense of responsibility. Those who knew him best also knew that he was much more than his work. He was a man who loved to help people and who was always open to trying something new. That spirit showed itself in many parts of his life, whether he was spending time with others, taking part in activities he enjoyed, or offering his time and presence where it was needed most.
He was a kind, generous, and funny man, and those qualities left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Roger had a loyal heart and a genuine desire to help, along with the kind of humor that could lighten a room. His honesty and devotion to family were among the things that made him especially dear to those closest to him. He lived in a way that made people feel valued, and that is a rare gift.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Virlie, and his sister, Karen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Jeppesen. He was the father of two daughters, Ginger Jeppesen and Taffy Jeppesen, from whom he was estranged. Family was an important part of Roger’s life, and his role as a husband and grandfather remained an essential part of his story. He took immense joy in the lives of his grandkids and great-grandkids, especially following their sports and activities, which brought him some of his greatest happiness. He is also survived by his brother, Tad (Carolyn) Jeppesen, and his sister, Patricia Whipple, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.
Outside of work and family, Roger found joy in health, golf, reading, and travel. He enjoyed square dancing and acting, and he was never afraid to step into something different or new. He also gave his time through Triad volunteers with the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office, the Marsing Senior Center, and the Marsing Church of the Nazarene. These involvements reflected the steady, caring way he moved through the world, always ready to be useful, to connect, and to lend a hand.
Roger’s life was one of quiet strength, loyalty, and service. He brought goodness into the lives of others in ways both large and small, and he will be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help, and the honesty and faithfulness that defined him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched with his presence.
