Roger Glenn Steiger went to his heavenly home on July 20, 2026. Roger was born April 29,1937, in Faulk County, So. Dakota, to Fred Steiger and Eva Jacober. His parents moved to Nampa, Idaho when he was 4 years old. They lived on Davis Ave where he grew up. He attended Nampa schools and was in the first class to graduate from the new high school in 1956. He married Delores Pooley in 1957 and they moved to Hammond, Indiana. For 15 years he worked as a meat cutter for Capitol Air Lines and later as a truck driver for Perkins Truck Co. They then moved back to Nampa in 1971 where he worked for Kings Campers and then retired from Armours in 1999 as a meat cutter.
As a young teenager he loved to hunt, fish and hike and go camping. This was his favorite pastime all his life. He also loved his church and Sunday school. Roger is survived by his wife, Delores of 69 years. Children; Kari Powers and Kevin Steiger Grandhildren; Amber Powers, Russell Steiger, Audrey Powers, Aaron Powers, Brindi Steiger, Sydnee Steiger, Karley Steiger. Great Grandchildren; Destany Dylan, Ward, Sophira. Great Great Grandchildren; Mellady, Jasper, and many Nieces and Nephews. Sister in Laws; Gladys and “Max” Landon, Joanie Morrison, Carolyn King. He was preceded in death by his son Denny Russell Steiger, his parents Fred and Eva Steiger and all five siblings. The family wished to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences.
