Romona Rose Kutch
Romona Rose Kutch, born Romona Rose Lively, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Life Care Center in Boise, Idaho. Romona was born September 28, 1932 and lived to be 80 years young. She married Richard, the love of her life when she was 17 in California where they started their family. Romona was the proud mother of six children: two daughters, Racine and Robin, and four sons, Richard, Jon, Roy, and Joe. They called many different states home through the years. Richard and Romona finally settled in Winnemucca, Nevada. Together, they shared their love of gardening. Romona developed friendships with the neighbors and always loved to share the fruits (or vegetables) of their labor. Another of Romonas favorite things to do was shop yard sales. She never could resist a good deal, and never missed a chance to bargain with someone to get a better price. She always enjoyed finding something at a yard sale that was broken that someone would sell to her for a nickel just to get rid of it. She just knew, no matter what it was that Richard could fix it. Richard passed away in Winnemucca in 1998. Soon after, Romona returned to Idaho. She eventually settled in Middleton. She volunteered at the library there, which couldnt have been a more perfect place for her to spend time, as one of her true passions in life was reading. Romona had shelves and shelves full of books, most of which she purchased at the yard sales she so enjoyed. Another thing Romona learned to love was dancing. She attended the Middleton Senior Center dances on Friday nights. There, she made many friends. She loved to sit and drink punch and watch others dance, but was known to cut a rug a time or two also. Romona was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Loretta Lively, her beloved husband Richard, her daughter Robin McKean, and her daughter-in-law Mary Kutch. She is survived by her brothers Bob and Pug Lively and Bill and Bev Lively, and her sister Reba and Larry Morrow. She is also survived by her daughter Racine and Jeff, and her sons Richard and Jean, Jon and Lori, Roy, and Joe and Pam, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you Grandma Grape! A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
