Ron "Chief" Saunders went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family, Friday May 30, 2014 after a battle with cancer. Ron was born September 13, 1950 to Murrel " Bud" and Ruby Saunders in Nampa, Idaho; the second of three sons and one daughter. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was also extremely proud of his Native American heritage and spent many years hand crafting artifacts such as knives, bows, jewelry, and regalia. Ron is survived by his wife Diane; his two sons Brian (Tracie) and Chauncey (Lindy), and four grandsons Andrew, Kialer, Sammy, and William. Ron is also survived by his mother, Ruby Saunders and brothers, Glen (Bobbi), Paul Douglas (Cheryl), and his sister Cindy Saunders (Larry). His father Murrel Saunders preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate his life at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. Nampa, Idaho.
