Ronald Russell Obituary Nampa - Ronald Russell passed away peacefully on April 6th, just 3 days short of his 84th birthday.
He was born to Earl & June Russell. He was baby brother to sisters Betty, Fay, and Kay and little brother Gene soon followed. Ron grew up in Kuna, Idaho and excelled in all sports, especially football. He married his high school sweetheart Faye Pethtel and together raised their three children with family always their primary focus. Ron and Faye just celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary. Ron was a devoted father and husband and has been Faye's primary support and caregiver for the past two years.
Ron started his 45 year career with Intermountain Gas Company in 1964. He was a PC operator, pipeline welder, LNG operator, and welding inspector.
Ron and Faye had three children: Ronel, Cory and Kyle. They supported their kids in everything they did and seldom missed a game at Nampa High School, University of Idaho and College of Idaho. Not only did they love watching their children's athletic events but their grand kids events as well. Recitals, concerts and any other activity their grandchildren were involved in.
Ron loved to hunt, fish, and especially loved going 4-wheeling. His love for the outdoors was evident in the miles he put on his side-by-side which was more than most people put on their cars.
Ron was a member of the Elks Lodge #1389 in Nampa and just received his 60 year pin.
Ron is survived by his wife, Faye Russell; daughter, Ronel (Ray) Peterson; son, Cory (Louise) Russell.
