Obituary

Ruth Pirnie Glover, 90, of Nampa, Idaho passed away on August 24, 2010 at Nampa Care Center. Ruth was born December 19, 1919 in Berwyn, Nebraska. She was the oldest of nine children born to George and Agnes Pirnie. She married Robert Ned Glover on September 28, 1940 in Nebraska. While living in Nebraska Ruth and Ned had two sons, Robert Keith, and Terry Lee. After WWII Ruth, Ned and the boys moved to Nampa, Idaho where they lived until 1961 and where they had their daughter Judy. In 1961 Ruth and Ned moved to Panorama City California where Ruth worked for 15 years for Torrington Mfg. Company. In 1974 Ruth and Ned moved to Stockton, California for a few years and in 1977 they retired to Paradise California. In 1983 her husband Ned of forty three years passed away. She stayed in Paradise for several years where she brought joy to the lives of three of her grand-children Shane, Gina, and Nicole. In 1990 Ruth moved back to Nampa, Idaho where she could be near many of her siblings and their families. During this time she enjoyed taking several wonderful vacations and weekend trips with her brothers and sisters. She also became involved with the Nampa Senior Center where she looked forward having lunch with her friends every week day.

During World War II Ruth joined many of the American Women who worked in factories during the war while their men were overseas. She bucked rivets on some of the first B-29 bombers produced in the War.

Ruth and Ned provided their children with wonderful childhood memories of camping, memorable vacations, and family fun. She enjoyed doing things for her children whenever she could. She and Ned spent a summer in Montana helping their son Keith build a home for his two children Robert and Christine. She also loved collecting knick knacks, especially angels. Her home was always cheery and filled with pretty things.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Robert Ned Glover, her son Terry Lee Glover, and her brother Joseph Pirnie. She is survived by her son Keith Glover of Eureka Montana, her daughter Judith Jenkins of Twin Falls, ID, and Terry Lees daughter Tina. She has six grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. Also surviving are seven of her brothers and sisters, Beulah Case Toerry, Ralph Pirnie, Dorothy Mulder, and Delbert Pirnie all of Nampa Idaho, Naomi Bramer of Amherst, Nebraska, Esther Pracht of Broken Bow, Nebraska and LeRoy Pirnie of Rogue River, Oregon.

Keith and Judy would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all of their Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who took time out of their lives to make sure that Ruth was well taken care of for the past twenty years. We love you all for what you have done for her.

The family also wishes to express their appreciation to Nampa Care Center for their kind and loving care.

There will be a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at 10:00 A.M. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010.
