Ruth K. McGrath Collins McGowan, 91 of Nampa died Friday, April 19, 2013. Ruth was born February 05,1922 to parents LaRoy Arthur and Novella Ware McGrath. She was the 3rd of 6 children. She attended Linder School and Eagle High School. She was married to Marvin Baldwin, Fay Collins and Warren McGowan. Ruth was raised in Star and spent most of her life in the Boise, Parma (Apple Valley), and Nyssa area. She attended the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church. Family was very important to her. She loved to crochet and made all of her children and grandchildren afghans and doilies. She also made each grandchild and great grandchild a baby blanket when they were born. Most of her life was spent being a great homemaker, farming, fishing, dancing and sharing her love with friends and family. She greatly enjoyed her many years of involvement with the Eagles in Nyssa, OR. She served all offices in the local chapter and worked her way through the chairs of the Oregon State Organization, serving as State President in 1968-1969. She was the last surviving charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle Auxillary in Nyssa, OR. She is survived by her 3 children; Dale R. Baldwin Collins (Barbara) of Fruitland, Sharon Russell (Ralph) of Boise, Pat Ennor-Morf (Bob) of Nampa and Step-son: Bob Collins (Karen) of Spearfish, S.D; 6 Grand Children: Tammy Huskey (Barry) of Boise, Pam Grant (Paul) of Plain, MT, Tom Collins (Sue) of Meridian, ID, Deb Swanson (Jeff) of Caldwell, ID, Dawna Hood (Jerry) of Yakima, WA, Kara Paiement (Greg) of Jamestown, ND; 15 Great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters: Marie Collins of Boise, ID and Beverly Heruth (Ron) of Laughlin, NV. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husbands, Brothers Robert McGrath and John McGrath and a Sister Elsa Holloway. A celebration of Ruths life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chappel. A private burial will be held at the Hiltop Cemetery, Nyssa Oregon.
