In Loving Memory of Sally Jean (Rudolph) Yost

Sally Jean (Rudolph) Yost March 1, 1942 – October 20, 2025

Sally Jean (Rudolph) Yost, a beloved resident of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her. Sally led a rich and fulfilling life, always placing her family, friends, and the joy of laughter at the center of everything she did.

Born and raised in Boise, Sally graduated from Borah High School before continuing her education at Colorado Women's College. She married William F. "Bud" Yost, and together they made their home in Nampa for 25 years. There, they raised their two sons, Marc and Michael. As a dedicated homemaker, Sally's warmth and hospitality were legendary—she had a remarkable talent for making everyone feel welcome in her home. Her passion for entertaining was evident in her cherished gourmet group, which brought her immense joy, countless laughs, and deep, lasting friendships.

Sally devoted many years to service through P.E.O. and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She poured her heart into these organizations, finding purpose in helping others and forming close bonds with like-minded friends who shared her generous spirit. In addition, Sally was an active member of a bridge group, where the games were lively and the laughter was abundant.

Time spent at Warm Lake and later in McCall was especially dear to Sally. Whether enjoying lake days or hitting the ski slopes, she created a treasury of memories that became the heart of her family's stories. Sally's love of tennis and golf brought her great happiness, especially when she shared the golf course with her sons. Michael delighted in teasing Marc over every bad shot, and Sally would laugh wholeheartedly at their friendly banter—secretly enjoying every moment, as did Marc.

Sally is survived by her two sons, Marc Yost (Teresa) and Mike Yost (Christy); her granddaughters, Karsyn, Kendal, plus Carly, Kayla, and Lauren; as well as her nieces, nephew, and their families. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, C. Ralph and Mary Adeline Rudolph, and her two sisters, Ann and Diana. Sally will always be remembered for her kindness, humor, and the way she made everyone feel at home around her table.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to St. Luke's Meridian and especially Hayley for their outstanding care and compassion during Sally's final days.

Visitation will be held at Nampa Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Morris Hill Cemetery on Friday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Stone House from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sally's memory.
