Samuel Stratford "Strat" Sorensen Jr. (age 15) left us too soon on February 6, 2017 in Nampa, Idaho. We will always cherish our memories of the young man we got to know and love. Strat was born to Samuel Sorensen Sr. and Amanda (Miller) McKissen on November 30, 2001 in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was an energetic young man who loved sports, the outdoors, and friends and family. Strat was a proud Nampa Bulldog, competing in football and wrestling. He loved his coaches and teammates and his family loved cheering him on. Strat loved the outdoors, he was known to adventure over and through all types of terrain, panning gold, fishing, and leaving inspiring drift wood forts in his wake. Strat leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, Samuel Sorensen Sr. and Shane and Amanda McKissen, and siblings, Seth, Aiden, Brinlee, Heston, Shane, and Syler. He is also survived by great-grandparents, Ladru & LaRue Sorensen, and grandparents Craig and Marianna Sorensen and Cheri Miller, dozens of aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and many other relatives. He is missed by dear friends, teammates, and countless others who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Miller and his uncle, David Sorensen. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at the Roosevelt LDS Church, Nampa with viewing being held from 9:00 to 10:45 A.M. and services at 11:00 A.M.
