Sandra "Sandi" Fern Johnson, 81, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on June 28, 2026, after a life beautifully marked by love, compassion, and devotion to others. Born on May 29, 1945, Sandi spent her days caring for family, patients, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her kind heart and gentle presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, & her daughter, Michelle Mills (Johnson). Sandi is survived by three siblings; her devoted, loving husband of 62 years, Russell; her daughter, Angela; five grandchildren: John & Arryn Nelson and Russell, Ostyn, & Malaree Mills; four great-grandchildren: Tessa, Ryan, Noah, & Lynlie Nelson; and countless loved ones who were adopted by her caring nature.
Sandi was known first and foremost as a loving sister, wife, mother, nana, nurse, and friend. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed, comforted, and deeply loved. Her home and her heart were always open, and her warmth touched countless lives.
For many years, Sandi served as an ICU nurse at Mercy Medical Center, where her skill, compassion, and steady strength helped patients and families through some of life's most difficult moments. Nursing was more than a profession to her - it was a calling she answered with grace, humility, and unwavering care.
Sandi's life was a testament to kindness, faith, and selfless love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 411 10th Ave S, Nampa, ID 83651, on July 15 at 11:00 a.m., with a celebration of life immediately following.
