Obituary

Sharon Lee Sabin Foster Ross, 72, of Nampa, ID formerly of Prineville, OR passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at a Meridian, ID hospital. She was born on November 25, 1941 in Prineville, Oregon to Kenneth and June (Chenoweth) Sabin. She married Bill Foster on Aug. 24, 1960 in Salida, Colorado. The couple had three children, Jim Foster (wife Barbara) of Boise, ID, Tim Foster (wife Pennie) of Nampa, ID and Tammy Gabiola (husband Dave) of Boise, ID They have five grandchildren: Nathan Foster (Traci) of Nampa, ID, Samantha Van Camp (Dave) of Boise, ID, Damian Gabiola of Boise, ID, Kenneth Gabiola of Boise, ID and Jamie Gabiola of Boise, ID; Four great grandchildren, Trinity Foster of Nampa, ID, Sydney Foster of Nampa, ID, Mary Jane Van Camp of Boise, ID and Joey Van Camp of Boise, ID; a sister, Jan Land (Wayne) of Coos Bay, OR; a brother Robert Sabin (Diane) of Prineville, OR; 3 nieces and nephews, Dawn Land, Todd Sabin and Tori Thun; and 7 great nieces and nephews, Sara, Ray Anna, Joshua, Dakota, Erik, Kathy and Wyatt. After Bill passed away, Sharon married Jess L. Ross in a recreation of the Meeks Trail Wagon Train. The couple enjoyed their Percheron horses and the wonderful people they met in the horse world; especially Lynn and Kristi Miller. Sharon loved her family and friends especially the small children. She liked to take pictures and was an avid reader. She liked to travel and never met a stranger. She was a Christian and strived to serve her Lord. Sharon waited tables for several years in several restaurantss including Stocktons Chinese in Redmond, OR. She worked for the Bon Marche in Boise, ID for 7 years and for her brothers gas station and repair shop in Prineville, OR Sharon had many health issues including one of them being breast cancer. Her kids encouraged her to move back to Nampa, ID about 4 years ago and live with her son, Tim and his wife so that she could concentrate on getting well. After about 2 years, she found a home in Nampa that she loved and loved creating her own nest again. Amongst her joys were spending the day hitting yard sales and buying things for the kids. She loved visiting her friends and family in the area. She was loved by all and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
