Obituary

Shelli Ann Baker left this World to join our heavenly Father on Friday, February 21st. Shelli was born on August 29, 1968, in Longview, Washington. She was one of four children born to Marvin Badger and Elizabeth Davis. Shelli lived her youth in the Naselle, Grays River area of Washington, and attended Naselle High School where she graduated in 1986. After graduation Shelli, spent time living in Long Beach, and later in the Seattle, Tacoma areas. In 1988, she gave birth to her first child, Kary Keightley Jr. Shelli then made her way to the Kelso, Longview area to rejoin family. During this time she met her husband, J. (Jody) Baker and the two were married on May 4, 1991. Then in 1993, Shelli gave birth to her second child, Kelsi Jo Baker. When in 1994 opportunities called, Shelli and her family moved to Nampa, Idaho, where they have lived since. During her time in Idaho Shelli worked as a day care provider, an Office Manager, in the construction industry, and later she was the Corporate Executive for the Nampa Association of Realtors. Throughout her life, Shelli made friends wherever she was. She was known for her infectious smile, sure to lighten any room or life that she happened to touch. Even during a long battle with cancer, she never lost her appreciation for life, and never missed an opportunity to brighten someones day with her loving and caring personality, and that brilliant smile. Shelli was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Badger and grandmother Ruth Davis; she is survived by her husband, J. (Jody) Baker, son, Kary Keightley Jr., daughter, Kelsi Jo Baker, all of Nampa; her mother, Elizabeth Davis, her brothers, Mark and Dale Badger, of Washington, and her sister Amy Badger, of NY, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Shellis life will be held on Saturday, March 1st, at College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho, at 3pm. It was Shellis wish that all attendees bring bubbles. Special thanks goes to the doctors, nurses and personnel at MSTI Nampa, Boise St. Lukes Hospital 4 South, and Idaho Wish Granters, for their caring and kindness given each and every day. Anyone wishing to donate on Shellis behalf please direct it to one of these wonderful institutions.
