Steven Jackson Obituary After a long fight with serious illness, Steven Hardee Jackson passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024 at age 50.
Born to Clara and Steve Jackson on April 23, 1974, Steven spent most of his younger years in Draper, Utah and then moved to Idaho. He graduated from Blackfoot High School and then served in the Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma for 2 years before serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Switzerland and France. After returning home, he began attending Idaho State University where he met his wife Angie. It was love at first sight for Steven, and they were married in the Idaho Falls temple in 1997. Steven graduated from ISU with a bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems and then a technical degree in Instrumentation. After school Angie and Steven moved to Nampa where he worked first for an electrical engineering firm and then later providing technical support for NASA and the Navy.
Steve loved being a dad to his three children Matthew, Ella and Grace. He felt so much joy in caring and providing for them. He felt honored to be their father. His greatest happiness came from watching his family grow and being involved in their lives.
Though he faced debilitating health issues for much of his life, Steve faced these challenges with quiet determination and without complaint. His focus always remained on his family, who he loved fiercely, and caring for their needs. He was a great example of positivity, strength and facing adversity with persistence.
Steve was a peacemaker, had a kind and gentle soul, and was selfless. He enjoyed the outdoors, long drives in the country and running. He loved math, solving problems and computer programming. He took pride in working hard to support his family and loved quiet evenings spent at home with them.
Steve was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His life was shaped by the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he found great joy in serving and being involved. His testimony of Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness and of the Savior, Jesus Christ, were a source of comfort and strength throughout his life. His life exemplified this verse in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
Steve is survived by his wife Angela; his children Matthew (Hailey) Jackson, Ella Jackson and Grace Jackson; his mother, Clara Call; and his three brothers Jared (Tammy) Jackson, Gabriel (Tiffany) Jackson, and Michael Jackson. Services to honor his life will be held on Tuesday September 3rd at the Church of Jesus Christ on Latter Day Saints at 18486 Middleton Road.
