Thomas Green Obituary Thomas Patrick "Pat" Green, 70, of Nampa, ID passed away on the morning February 4, 2023. Pat was born on April 11, 1952, to Thomas Victor Green and Pauline Busco Green in Pocatello, ID. His childhood was spent in Pocatello, and he attended Pocatello High School, where he met the love of his life and absolute best friend, Alta Richards. The high school sweethearts married on February 26, 1972, in Pocatello. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Soda Springs, ID, where Pat worked as a surveyor and Civil Engineer. In November of 1979, they welcomed their first child, daughter Keri. In 1981, Pat was promoted to Mineral Tech on the Challis National Forest in Clayton, Idaho. In June of 1983, his second child Ryan was born. A few years later, his son TJ was born in June 1986. Pat continued to work in Clayton as a Mineral Tech and a Law Enforcement Officer as needed. He did this until he transitioned into the position of a Special Agent for the Forest Service full-time, which took the family to Challis, ID, in December of 1989. During this time, Pat was dedicated to his family and his career. Coaching all three of his kids in basketball and baseball and driving countless miles to watch all three children play in their sporting activities kept Pat and Alta very busy during the school year. In the summers, Pat and his family spent their time mostly golfing at the Challis Golf Course and camping and boating in Stanley. Pat loved hunting with his boys in the fall and never missed an elk hunt. Pat continued to work as a Special Agent for the Forest Service for 17 years and retired in January 2006. After retirement, Pat and Alta spent six more years enjoying their time in Challis until they decided they wanted to be closer to their grandkids and family. They moved to Nampa, ID, in 2012, where they built their dream home. While in Nampa, they took on an entirely new life where they had to adjust to city life. They enjoyed going to movies, eating out, and hosting family gatherings. They never gave up the game of golf, as Pat bought a yearly membership and went 3-5 times a week. This was by far one of his favorite hobbies. When he wasnt at the golf course, he babysat, chased, and loved his four incredible granddaughters. He loved these girls more than you can imagine. Pat is survived by his loving and beautiful wife of 50 years, Alta Green; daughter, Keri (Green) and son-in-law Tyler Bowen; eldest son Ryan Green and daughter-in-law Colleen (Houlihan); youngest son TJ Green and daughter-in-law Michelle (Cook); Four beautiful granddaughters Kynli Bowen, Karter Green, Taylin Bowen, Polly Green; and sister Paulette Johnson.
