Velma Grace House was born on August 16, 1934 in Willow Springs, Missouri, the third child of eight children born to Arthur and Mary Thelma McDaniel. She passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home in Nampa with family at her side.
In 1941 the family moved from Willow Springs to Parma, Idaho. She married Paul Moffis in 1950 and together they had seven children. They later divorced.
In 1973 she married Garold House and two more children joined the family. There were now seven boys and two girls. Velmas greatest joy came from her family with large gatherings with lots of great food. She insisted on hosting all major get togethers; the larger the crowd the happier she was.
Velma worked outside the home mostly in retail and for the last 35 years she was a homemaker where she kept a beautiful home filled with many arts and craft items she had made. She loved to bowl and play cards with the girls. Life was good.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Garold; two brothers, John McDaniel and Dale McDaniel; three sisters in law, Deeloramae McDaniel, Loretta McDaniel, Jolene McDaniel.
She is survived by: 7 sons, Roger (Connie) Moffis, Ron (Jan) Moffis, Justin (Kelly) House, Greg Moffis, Jeff (JoAnna) Moffis, Kevin (Lori) Moffis, David (Cindy) Moffis; 2 daughters, Brenda (Jim) Hittle, Melody (Tim) Williams; 25 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret Ford, Mary (Barry) Neff; and 3 brothers, Ralph McDaniel, Kenneth (Julie) McDaniel, Gene McDaniel.
