Vicki Lynn Pate, 55, of Nampa, departed this world on Saturday, July 20th. She was born to Mary Carter and George Baker on January 17, 1958 in Walla Wall, WA. She attended Nampa High, and took courses in mechanics at Boise State. She has spent most of her life caring for her 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren. In 1996, Vicki began working with the Nampas Farmers Market where she sold homemade crafts and sugar free desserts. She will be remembered most for her creativity, love of plants and eccentric, rather ornery, personality. She has been described as one who had a deeply understanding and forgiving nature; the glue that held her family together in rough times. Vicki loved to cook and bake. Her familys fondest memories include her ability to always have enough food to feed whoever showed up, and that all bad days were fixed with cinnamon toast. Vicki is survived by her mother, Mary; her husband, Skip Pate; Her step-father, Jack Carter; her daughters, Bambi, and Cecelia; her siblings Barbara Ward, Jackie Navarro, Pamela Carter, and Nate Carter: her dear grandchildren, Tristen, Brihanna and Timmy Schmid; Tasha, Raymond, Samantha and Robert Munster: And precious great grandchildren, Aaliyah Munster and Victoria Schmid: as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She has been proceeded in death by Olive and Murray (Bud) Leighton, and Violet Curtis. A family service will be held on the afternoon of August 3rd, followed by a memorial dinner open to all Vickis family and friends at 3.
