Victor Aldrich, 91, of Nampa, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1920 in Lyons, Colorado to Harry Earl and Sarah Elizabeth Carlow Aldrich. He moved to Burley, Idaho where he met Theresa Ivie. They were married and to this union five children were born in Rupert, Idaho; Vivian Aldrich (who is deceased), Ellen Busnardo, Earl Aldrich, Donald Aldrich and Jack Aldrich.
In 1944 he went into the U.S. Army and served during WWII. The family moved to Nampa where Vic worked as a logger in the summer time.
Vic and his brother Earl started a business of house movers know as the "Aldrich Brothers". They moved a lot of homes in this area and Vic also began working as a farmer.
Vic and Theresas marriage ended in divorce and several years later he married Barbara Daly. Barbara had two children, Eualeen Beukelman and Logan Clyne. Vic and Barbara were very happy fishing, camping and hunting with his sisters, brothers and their husbands and wives. He had three sisters, Ruth Richardson and Verna Burchard (both deceased) and Vivian Bobby Easter who is still living at 98 years old. He had four brothers, Kenneth and Earl Aldrich (who are deceased) and Jack and Donald (both living) and two half sisters, Velma Atkinson (deceased) and Vernice Zanco (living).
Vic had five children, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Vic had a good fun life and loved everyone.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Nampa Elks Lodge in Downtown Nampa. Food will be served. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
