Vidal Lopez Linares, lovingly known as "Kaliman," was born on November 11, 1953, in Cuerámaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, and passed away on June 19, 2026, in Nampa, Idaho.
Vidal was the beloved son of Paula Linares Lopez and Francisco Lopez. He shared a loving life with his wife, Rachel Lopez, and was a devoted father to Juan, Melissa, Vidal Jr., Nina, Jose, Stacie, Bianca, Felicia, and Eva. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He is also survived by several siblings and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Vidal was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Lopez; his brother, Isaac; and his sister, Beatriz.
Vidal found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, watch wrestling, and gathering with family for barbecues. He was especially known for his love of grilling, bringing family and friends together over delicious meals and creating lasting memories. Above all, Vidal treasured time spent with those he loved.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his love for his family, and the many moments of laughter and togetherness he created. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.
A rosary will be held at Nampa Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Liberty Park in Nampa, Idaho.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Enhabit Hospice—especially Katrina, Jaden, Mario, Troy, and Roni—for their compassionate care and support.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
