Vivien Sturdivan Obituary Vivien Genevieve Sturdivan, 103, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 31, 2024. Born in Nampa, Idaho on March 13, 1921, to William R. Pascoe, Jr. and Mabel Eldene Pascoe, she was the oldest of four daughters. She grew up on the family farm in south Nampa where she loved helping her daddy with the daily chores. At the young age of 7, she helped prepare full dinners for the hired hay crews. Its no wonder she turned out to be a fabulous cook.
Vivien and her sisters attended Sunnyridge School. All four of them would pile on "Old Belle" for the almost 2-mile trek. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1940. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Ray Sturdivan. Ray joined the Army and Vivien moved to California to live with her aunt and uncle. While there she worked for Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc. making airplane parts as a "Rosie the Riveter". When she moved back to Nampa, she and Ray married on November 5, 1943. In the following years they raised four beautiful children together. They were the light of Viviens life. She spent many years as a cub and brownie scout leader and was active in the PTA.
Vivien loved life and lived it to its fullest. She was an extremely talented artist and was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She loved to travel and got to visit many exciting places.
