Ray joined the Army and Vivien moved to California to live with her aunt and uncle. While there she worked for Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc. making airplane parts as a "Rosie the Riveter". When she moved back to Nampa, she and Ray married on November 5, 1943. In the following years they raised four beautiful children together. They were the light of Viviens life. She spent many years as a cub and brownie scout leader and was active in the PTA. Vivien loved life and lived it to its fullest. She was an extremely talented artist and was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She loved to travel and got to visit many exciting places.
