Walter Raymond Curt (Ray), 85, of Caldwell, ID peacefully passed away June 19, 2014 in his home.
Born in Bentonville, AR to Earl and Ola Curt on May 9, 1929. The family relocated to Marsing 10 in 1940. Ray joined the United States Army at the age of 17. He was a member of General Douglas McArthur's Honor Guard in the Occupation of Japan from Aug 1947 to Oct 1949. He was a Master Carpenter and a truck driver of 51 years with a zero accident report and logging over three million miles. Ray's first love was his family and friends. Always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a cheerful laugh, hug or a bit of advice.
The out of doors was where Ray felt the most comfortable enjoying and sharing time with family and friends doing such things as camping, fishing and atv's.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers Harold and Floyd.
He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife Jackie, sons Joe (Trina), John, Randy (Charlotte), Woody (Paula) daughters Robin, Dee (Red), Danell (Jay), Melissa (Scott). 27 grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, brothers Ross (Carol), Gary (Alice) sisters June, Karen (Chuck) special daughters Claudia Curt and Judy Curt, special son John Bryant and special friend of over 50 years Larry (Tiny) Howard. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the love and many prayers received by each and every one of you.
Services will be held at the home of John Bryant at 10092 Lake Shore Drive, Nampa at 2pm Wednesday June 25. Celebration will follow with an open house until 7pm. All are invited to attend.
Grandpa we will miss you so much and always remember your HEE-HAW.
