Wesley Leroy June

We are deeply saddened to share that Wesley Leroy June, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born to Sherman and Alice June in Louisburg, Kansas, on January 26, 1941. The family later relocated to Nampa, Idaho. Wesley settled south of Nampa, where he and his wife built a small family ranch and raised their three children. Wesley was a cattleman at heart who truly enjoyed the western way of life. He was a hard worker who wore many different hats over the years, delivering coal for the Tiller Coal Company, working at Restline Furniture Company, and driving trucks hauling spuds during the fall harvest. He also had a true talent for building things by hand. Without any blueprints, Wesley would sketch custom furniture, saddle stands, and horse trailers straight from his imagination and bring them to life.

What his loved ones will miss most is his storytelling. Sitting with Wesley meant being pulled right into his world. He had a remarkably sharp mind and an unforgettable memory for details. He absolutely loved movies, magazines, and books, and could recount every last detail. Everyone will always smile thinking about his comforting voice and the stories they happily listened to many times.

Wesley is now reunited with his parents, his brother, Vernon June, his sister, Marjorie Phillips, and Marlene June.

His legacy lives on through those he leaves behind:

• His son, Curtis (Andrea) June, their children, and families

• His daughters, Angela Calhoun and Alana Dunn

• His grandchildren, Brendon (Tiffany) Calhoun and their daughters, Christina and Madeline, and Sydney (Nate) Garner and their son, Cal.

Dad’s unforgettable stories will live on forever in our hearts. He is deeply missed but will never be forgotten.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, at 1:00 PM at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St. N, Nampa, ID 83687.
