Wesley Arthur Waggoner

April 20, 1951 — February 23, 2026

Nampa

Wesley Arthur Waggoner was born April 20, 1951, in Caldwell, Idaho. Wes went to Heaven at the age of 74 on February 23, 2026, at home in Nampa, Idaho.

Wes was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, businessman, and pastor.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Waggoner, father, Willard Waggoner, wife, Bonita Waggoner, and brothers Waylon Waggoner, Walter Waggoner, and Donald Waggoner. He is survived by his wife of 1 year Karen Waggoner, his son Andy Waggoner, his wife Jordan, and their 5 children; Reagan, Jack, London, Molly, and Mayzie, his daughter Christy Hinton, her husband, Lance Hinton, and their 2 children; Bryan and Alice, his sister, Charlotte Lowe, and brother, Stanley Waggoner.

Wes spent his childhood in Greenleaf, Idaho where he attended Greenleaf Elementary and then graduated from Vallivue High School in 1969. He attended Central Bible School in Springfield, Missouri for a couple years in ministry courses. He finished his bachelor’s degree at Northwest Nazarene College (now NNU). Wes pastored from that point on in many different roles and churches. His longest assignment was with Bowmont Community Church south of Nampa. He pastored there in the early 80’s and returned in 1991. Wes pastored there for 30 years before stepping down. Wes also had a love for building. During college, Wes worked for Meek’s lumber in Springfield and then returned to work at Lloyd Lumber in Nampa for 35 years before it closed. He opened his own door shop that is still doing business, Gem State Doors and Millwork.

Wes enjoyed remodeling housed to rent to friends and family that needed a place to live. He enjoyed traveling for work conferences/shows. He especially enjoyed his travels when it involved visiting family and most importantly his grandkids! Wes found some relaxation in his flowerbeds and garden. For as long as he has had a spot, he would grow tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, peppers, and cantaloupe. His flower beds always had daffodils, iris, roses, and petunias. He took pride in his yard.

Wes was a generous man and was more than happy to help anyone who was without. He lived his life as close to Christ-like as one can. He will be greatly missed!
