Wilbert G. 'Bill' McCusker, 83, husband, father, uncle, cousin, friend and artist, passed away peacefully at St. Alphonsus Hospital,Boise, on December 17, 2012, after suffering a stroke.

Bill was born January 9, 1929, to George and Eva McCusker in Dickinson, North Dakota. He was a 1946 graduate of Olympia High School and a graduate of the University of Washington and Central Washington University. He served in the Army in Germanyfrom 1950 to 1952. Bill and Marilyn Liddell met in Yakima, WA and were married on March 17, 1982.

Bill served as staff artist for 35 years at various TV stations in Washington, California, Texas and Idaho. In the early 60's, he hosted a children's TV show in Boise called 'The Mr. Bill Show.' He taught watercolor painting for 25 years through the Community Education Programs. He designed and painted two of the historical murals in Toppenish, WA, and was part of the 'Mural-in-a-Day' team on six other Toppenish murals. He participated in art shows throughout the Northwest and was a popular 'quick draw' artist. Bill also designed and illustrated children's educational books.

He was a member of the Nampa Art Guild, the Centennial Group, and was a Merit Member of the Idaho Watercolor Society.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and seven children: daughters Connie Middleton (Roger), Nampa, Vicki Voss (Rick), Nampa, Kacey Beach (Jeff), Boise, Melanie Wood (Doug), Caldwell, Kelley McCusker (Diana Swycaffer), Boise, Susan Buchanan (Larry), Portland, OR, and son, Steve Liddell, Tualatin, OR; grandchildren Kevin Chester, Ryan Chester, Jenny Beam, Cassie McCrea, Ross McCusker, Jared McCusker, Kadie Johnson, Cody Wood, and Baylie McCallister; and five great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pet Haven, 333 W. Orchard Ave., Nampa, ID 83651.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1515 8th Street, Nampa, ID, on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. A celebration of Bill's life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Goldcrest Clubhouse, 1604 W. Orchard Ave.,Nampa, ID.
