William Elgin Schlemmer, Jr. joined the Lord on December 23.2010 after a courageous and long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 5, 1960 in San Diego, California where he was raised and educated. He was a very loving and giving man in his own unique way with a great sense of humor. He touched many hearts around the United States as he drove truck with his wife for the last 2 years before becoming ill. William loved camping in the forest and his love for fly fishing was immeasurable. He also was a log truck driver in Idaho, Oregon and Montana, always telling stories about driving and living on the on the edge. He will be sorely missed by anyone that knew him. He is preceded in death by his Father, William E. Schlemmer Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Schlemmer of Nampa; mother, Elizabeth Schlemmer of Twenty-nine Palms, CA; son, William E. Schlemmer III, Nampa; stepson, Daniel (Lynzi) Dockstader, Nampa; daughter, Amber (Chad) Nafziger, Yucca Valley, CA; stepdaughter, Allison (Jake) Carroll, Ventura, Ca; daughter, Alissa (Jason) Myers, Ft. Lewis, WA; his grandkids who called him PaPa Too, Olivia Dockstader, Hannah Dockstader, Isiah Dockstader, Cambria Myers and a granddaughter due in Feb 2011; sisters, Kim Holcomb of Joshua Tree, CA and Debbie Schlemmer of Twenty-nine Palms, CA as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at the Christian Faith Center, 31 S. Midland Blvd., Nampa, Idaho 83651
