William F. "Bill" Wynia, 87, of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at a Nampa care center. Bill was born on October 19, 1924 in Platte, South Dakota to Samuel G. and Rose Koster Wynia. He was raised and attended schools in Meridian and Nampa and attended college at the Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa for one year. He served in the United States Army for 22 months during WWII.
On September 2, 1944 he married Florence M. Juedes and to this marriage was born four children, Larry, Robert, Kathy and Nancy. The family farmed in the Kuna Area for several years. Flossie passed away in 1968. He married Wilma R. Holly on August 11, 1969 and they have made their home in Nampa. Bill worked in other professions including construction and painting, mechanics and maintenance. He was a longtime member of the Kuna and Karcher Churches of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; two sons, Larry (Dianna) Wynia and Robert A. Wynia; a daughter, Kathy (Lonny) Pancheri; two step daughters, Debbie Bayless and Ruth (Glenn) Kearns; a step son, Douglas (Marilyn) Holly; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two brothers, Sipka and Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Florence, a brother, John, two sisters, Rowena and Alice, a daughter, Nancy, a granddaughter, Heather and a great granddaughter, Audrey.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Karcher Church of the Nazarene with a viewing and visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10:30 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow in the Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel.
