Wilma Frans, 89, passed away peacefully in the arms of loved ones on December 12, 2010. She was born Wilma Powers on May 6, 1921 in Thomas Oklahoma. Wilma was the 4th of 5 girls born into the Powers family. Wilma and Allen Frans were married on December 25, 1943 and they made their home in Nampa Idaho.

Wilma's career was in hairdressing. She took great pride the day she opened her own salon, the House of Beauty, in Nampa in 1974. She operated the salon until she retired some 20 years later. Wilma had 4 stepchildren. She is survived by Donald Frans and predeceased by Victor Lowen, Dava LaDene and Sandra. She was loved by her 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Her strength of character and enduring faith in God will keep her in our memories forever.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the Lockstone Funeral Home in Thomas starting at 11:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at 1:00 P.M at the Mound Cemetery in Thomas.
