Yvette Angeline Gervais Leisner, 87, of Nampa, passed away at her home on Nov. 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Yvette Angeline Lambert was born on October 29, 1923 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Conrad and Exilia Lambert. She was the fourth of six children.

In Dec. of 1942 she married Oliver N. Gervais and resided in Woonsocket, Rhode Island along with Olivers two sons, Edward O. and Henry J. On September 1, 1943 their daughter Claire Antionette was born.

In 1950, they moved to Coventry, Connecticut and resided there for three years before making the big move to Southern California in 1953. In 1955 Mom and Dad became foster parents for state children. In 1961 they adopted Carl J. into the Gervais family. That was one of Moms greatest joys in life.

They resided in Stanton, CA until Oliver passed away on Feb. 12, 1973. She went to work for Lear Siegler Aircraft Co. from 1970 until 1978.

In 1977 she met Kenneth Leisner on a blind date and they married on June 3, 1978 extending our family with three additional sons, Keith, Larry and Jerry Leisner. After Mom retired in 1978, She and Ken enjoyed traveling all over the United States and abroad.

In 1984 they moved to Idaho to be closer to family. Kenneth passed away on Dec. 12, 1993.

Yvette was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, husbands Oliver and Kenneth and step son Jerry.

She is survived by her daughter, Claire (Larry) DeCoux; sons, Carl (Gloria) Gervais, Henry (Becky) Gervais and Edward (Marge) Gervais; stepsons, Keith (Karrie) Leisner and Larry Leisner; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation to her caregiver Gloria Gervais, Nurse Bobbie Thomas and the staff from Treasure Valley Hospice for their compassionate and loving care that was given in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Treasure Valley Hospice, 8 6th St. N., #200, Nampa, Idaho 83687.

A celebration of Yvettes life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday with a reception to follow at her home at Silvercrest II, 609 E. St., Nampa, Idaho. Private family interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
