Alice "Claire" (Macfarlane) Dodson

Alice "Claire" (Macfarlane) Dodson went home to be with her beloved husband Lyle on July, 31, 2023
after a long illness.
She was born to George Hugh and Evelyn Claire (Lowry) Macfarlane on July 9th, 1935 in Steamboat
Springs, CO. In 1952, she moved with her family to St. Helens, OR, where she graduated from high school the next
year. She obtained her teaching degree from Bethany Bible College in CA and spent several years teaching
elementary school.
In 1969, she married Lyle Wilbur Dodson (aka Harry Lorin Morton), making Claire a proud mother to
Lyle's 4 children from his previous marriage. Together Claire and Lyle had 2 children, Gregory Scott and
Rachele Lyn. They lived in multiple towns in OR, TX, AZ, and ID over the years, before ultimately residing in Nampa,
ID. They were very active in their church, and family was of the utmost importance to Claire.

She is survived by her son Greg Dodson of Jerome, ID, daughter Rachele King of Murphy, ID, step-
daughters Lola Taylor of Baker City, OR and Maxine Milton of Riddle, OR, brother Jim Macfarlane of Fruitland, ID, sister Janet Macfarlane of Winter Haven, FL, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the like.

She will be buried at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, ID with her husband Lyle.
