Sgt Carl Robert Follick, US Army (ret), of Nampa, Idaho passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, after a prolonged health battle stemming from Agent Orange exposure during the Vietnam War. He was 70. Carl served with distinction during his time as a communications chief. His experience in the Army led to nearly three decades in broadcast radio in the Treasure Valley, notably at KCID 1160 AM and KSRV 96.1 The Bull. His dedication to family and community was unwavering. He enthusiastically supported his grandson Gregory's Cub Scout unit in Middleton, Kuna High School FFA, the Wounded Warrior Fund and many other worthy causes. In his later years, Carl was lovingly known as Grandpa Gus. He will be greatly missed by so many lives that he touched. Carl is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughter Amanda, son James, grandson Gregory and siblings Sandy, Art & Glen. The family wishes to thank the VA Medical Center, Davita and Intermountain Eye for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org is requested in Carl's honor. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for the public to pay their last respects at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel in Nampa. A private memorial service and potluck for family members will be held at the Maple Grove shelter on the east side of Lakeview Park in Nampa on Friday, September 25th from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. As Carl would have wanted it, the dress code is casual and comfortable.
