Dean, Carlyle Irving, 91, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away August 8, 2021.
He was born the eldest of seven children to John and Myrna Dean, January 16, 1930. He attended High school in Nampa and Lancaster, California, where he ran track, played basketball, football and baseball. While attending college at NNC, he met and married the love of his life, Janette Rachel Pease. During their time at NNC he was drafted and entered the Marine Corp. Upon returning from the Marines, he continued his education, graduating with a B.S. in Biology from NNC, and ultimately received a Masters in Science from Oregon State University. He began teaching High School in Nampa, where he also coached basketball, football and baseball. At the Jr. College level, he continued to teach and coach basketball at various colleges throughout the western states.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janette, and brothers, Jay, Mick and Lowell Dean. He is survived by sisters, Bernita (Whitey) Johnson, Myrna Shaw (Paul) Miller, and brother, Cal (Barbara) Dean, daughter, Pam (LeRoy) Feigelson, son, Robert (Jane) Dean, grandsons, David (Sharon) and Ryan Feigelson, granddaughters, Allison (Aric) Bilas, and Amy Dean, great grandchildren, Jared and Natasha Feigelson and Nadia Bilas.
Interment with military rites by the U.S. Marine Corps will be at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
