Deanna Louise (Jacobson) Turpen

Deanna Louise Turpen, 70,  passed away peacefully at her home in Nampa on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 following a brave struggle against brain cancer. 

She was born in Nampa on January 7, 1948 to Helmer and Agnes Jacobson and raised with her older brother Richard.  She was married in 1968 to Larry Turpen and they raised two boys J. Scott Turpen and Darin Turpen.  Scott married Jennifer Turpen and they have two girls, Samantha and Courtney.  Darin married Melanie Turpen and they have two boys, Jacob and Colby. 

After graduating from high school, Deanna went to cosmetology school and worked in this field for several years.  She also worked for a time with Larry in their home building business.  She then began working for Caldwell Internal Medicine and stayed in that position for over 30 years. 

Deanna and Larry celebrated their 50-year wedding anniversary in February of 2018 surrounded by their loving family.  Their marriage is a perfect example of how good a life together can be.  Deanna most enjoyed spending time at their home in Nampa or on their land near Cascade with Larry, her sons and daughters-in-law, and four adoring grandchildren.  She was a dearly loved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Deanna’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel with a reception to follow. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
