Marilyn Faye Harcharik Ward, 86, was born in Belt Montana on November 16, 1936, and passed away on September 25, 2023, in Nampa Idaho
She was born to John and Dorothy (Hoyer) Harcharik in Belt, Montana, one of 6 children. She graduated from Belt Valley High School in 1954 and then attended the College of Great Falls while working at Noble’s Café. She met Ralph Emerson Ward while he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana. They were married on December 19, 1954, at Mont Clair Methodist Church in Belt. They had 5 children: Neal (Beverly), Karla (Nick) Becker, Kareen (Edward) Welsh, Kelley Taylor, Daryl Jon (Kandi), 22 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Faye was a homemaker and volunteered at school (room mother), church (United Methodist Woman, typist, Sunday School teacher) and the Ladies Railroad Auxiliary. She and Ralph worked on the Election Board and also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Faye was an avid seamstress, a good cook and a collector of Teddy Bears.
Faye lived in Caldwell at Autumn Wind Assisted Living until 2021 and then moved to Meadow View Nursing Home. Faye’s family would like to thank the staff at both facilities for their loving support and service.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Ralph, and their youngest child, Daryl Jon Ward.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 11am at Nampa Funeral Home/Yraguen Chapel at 415 12th Ave South, Nampa, Idaho. An online guestbook is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
