Howard “Felix” Hall, 82, of Marsing, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3 PM. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. – 208-442-8171.
Felix was born on September 27, 1938, in Brawley California to Howard and Thelma Hall. Felix grew up in the city of San Diego California. He worked at a butcher shop from the time he was nine years old until he was 18 when he met and married the love of his life, Joy Elaine White. For 63 years, through thick and thin, for better or worse, richer or poor, through sickness and health, they remained true to each other and set a foundation that gave stability to their 4 boys and to their children and to their children’s children. Felix served in the US Army Reserve from 1957 to 1966 as a Staff Sergeant and as a Tank Commander. He was a truck driver for most of his life, from Oscar Meyer to Kiem Meat Packing to Boise Cascade. He took great pride in his ability to handle an 18-wheeler. While living in San Diego a good friend told him he needed to go north…and he did. His love of hunting and horses was a perfect fit for the great State of Idaho. Felix and Joy bought a farm south of Nampa where they raised 4 boys with a steady balance of hard work and laughter. All 71 members of the Hall Family still live here in the Treasure Valley, and he has had a strong influence on all of them. His firm faith in Jesus Christ was on display to the end. He loved talking about the Bible and one of his joys was knowing his 4 boys were just as firm in their faith in Christ.
Felix is survived by his wife, Joy Elaine, 4 sons, Dave (Janie), Jim (Cissy), Dan (Joy), Kenny (Echo), 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter.
