Fredrick J. Gunther.
11-10-1928 / 04-19-2022
Fred was born to Mary and Fred Gunther in Denver, Colorado. He was the eldest of five children. His family moved from Nebraska to Nampa when he was seven years old; and graduated from Nampa High School.
He married his 'wild Irish rose" Della Mae Bryan on 04-23-1950. They had two children Larry and Brenda.
Fred and Della were hard working and loving parents. They spent time together camping, motorcycle riding, snowmobile riding, and traveling with the Good Sam’s Club.
Fred was a member of the First Christian Church in Nampa and a lifelong member of the Nampa Elks Lodge and of the Owyhee County Historical Society. As a hobby, he restored antique tubed radios.
Fred was a "social butterfly”, having never met a stranger. He loved people and had a multitude of loving friends (you know who you are, and that he loved you back).
Fred is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 68 years, Della Mae; his parents Mary and Fred; his son Larry; and sisters Donna and Anita.
He leaves behind his daughter Brenda Gunther, sister Dorothy Shannon (Ross Stewart), brother Lonny (Grace) Gunther, daughter-in-law Ina Gunther, grand children Hesper (Sean) Isaacson and Ian (Brianne) Gunther, great grandchildren Alex, Hunter, Gabriel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be a private family service.
