Harry W Pieksma, 91, of Caldwell passed away at a local care facility in Caldwell on Sunday, July 16, 2023. A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Cloverdale United Reformed Church, 3580 N Cloverdale Rd in Boise with military honors by the Honor Guard from Mt. Home Air Force Base. A private interment will be later at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave So. Harry was born on May 25, 1932, in Redlands, CA, and graduated from Excelsior High School in 1950. He was married to Marjorie Pap on June 29, 1953. Harry served in the United States Air Force in El Paso, TX from 1951-1955. In 1967 the family moved from CA to take up farming in the state of WA. In the early 70’s they relocated to a farm in Nampa, ID. Harry was a founding member of the Cloverdale United Reformed Church. He gave up farming in the mid 70’s. He later retired from the United States Postal Service.
Harry is survived by his five children; Norman (Gail) Pieksma, Kenneth (Paula) Pieksma, Donald (Vicky) Pieksma, Marliss (John) Katsma, and Duane (Michonne) Pieksma. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Charlotte (Chuck) Daisey.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Marjorie, along with his brothers Edward and Robert and his sisters Alice, Joyce, Leona and Geraldine.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Cloverdale United Reformed Church, 3580 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, ID 83713 in memory of Harry.
