Henry Kasprzak, Sr. Obituary

Henry Phillip Kasprzak, Sr., 79, of Caldwell, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on March 27, 2022.

Henry was born on June 7,1942 in Camden, NJ. He was the youngest of 3 boys. He grew up playing in the woods, trapping and skinning muskrats, fishing, exploring, and pitching for his local baseball league. He graduated from Triton High School in 1961. He joined the Navy and was a radioman. This began his lifelong love of Amateur Radio and Morse code. He enjoyed competitions each year of reaching fellow ham radio operators in all 50 states. He was a hard worker, very generous and a man of his word. He had a sense of humor that brought us all joy.

Henry married the love of his life, Mary on Nov. 9, 1963. They began raising their family in New Jersey, and then in 1978, moved to Caldwell, Idaho where Henry supported his family by working for the telephone company, until his retirement in 2005. He loved the wide-open West, the Owyhee Mountains, the Middle Fork of the Weiser River, fishing, hunting and camping along with his boys. He loved spending time with his wife. It was a rare site to see one without the other. They walked together daily. After retirement, he took pride in his perfectly manicured yard and garden. He was a member of Montana Avenue Baptist Church for over 40 years. He spent hours on his knees, praying for his family, his church, community and the local police department. He loved Jesus and dedicated many hours to reading his Bible. Henry and Mary raised their boys to love Jesus and were thankful to see them living for the Lord and raising their children up to know Him.

Henry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary and two children: Henry (Miriam) Kasprzak and Tim (Amanda) Kasprzak. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Michael, Katelyn, Peter, Isaac and Ella. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Kasprzak.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Josephine Kasprzak, and a brother, Robert Kasprzak.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11am at Montana Avenue Baptist Church. 3120 S. Montana Ave. Caldwell, ID 83605 with military honors by personnel from the US Navy.
