Jeremy Robert "JR" Kelley

Jeremy Robert Kelley (JR) was born on May 24, 1974, and took his first breath in Heaven on August 16, 2023, at 2:44 Am. This was a tragic and sudden loss for our family.  Nothing can prepare you to lose your son, your Husband, your Dad, your brother, and your friend.  Our Hearts are broken, and we are all still in so much shock as we navigate the immense loss of JR.  He will always be remembered for his HUGE enveloping Hugs, witty personality, and the FIERCE Love he had for his family, who he would fight to protect at any cost. He was always ready to workout with his wife, his kids and all of his friends anytime of the day.  He loved to cook and BBQ and would always proudly post pictures of his perfectly cooked ribs. JR was larger than life, with a personality and a stature to match. He adopted his dad’s love for classic cars and especially fast cars. He finally was able to purchase his dream car a little over a year ago and got to race it on the track.  His face would beam when He would talk about driving and he was known for always looking for that NEXT new favorite vehicle.  He loved to do anything involving his kids and their school activities, he never missed a volleyball game or a concert.  He was such a sweet Dad to his kids. There is one thing that we all will remember about JR, and that was his love for a big 180-pound slobbery dog named Zeus. He didn’t love many animals but his Love for Zeus and what he added to JR’s life we all will remember.  He loved deeply and was satisfied to just have his wife even in the same room. The void without JR in the home is heartbreakingly undeniable.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Kelley in 2018, and his stepson Zachary in 2018, and I am sure that they were there to greet him when he drew his first breath in Heaven. 

He is survived by His loving Mom, Cristy Kelley, His beautiful wife Susie, his two children Alivia (19 yrs), and Luke (17 yrs) who he was always SO proud of, and were the light of his life, his Older brother Shane Kelley, his baby sister Stephanie, his step children, Michaela (27 yrs), Javan (24 yrs), Gabe (22 yrs), and more friends than you can count. His presence will be missed and there will never be a moment that we all won’t wish we could hug you, see you and hear that infectious laugh of yours.  We Love you JR and we will see you #injustalittlewhile.

And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love.  But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at Home,

For God looked down, smiled at me, and told me “Welcome home” So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we are far apart, for every time you think of me, I am right there in your HEART.
