country boy at heart. In his school years in Dawson, he was known for his fun-loving attitude, his
love for his friends, and the many pranks he pulled. After high school, he left Georgia to go to
Tulsa Oklahoma to attend Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. From Spartan he
received his pilot's license. There he met and married Barbara Fern Hallum Jesse and Barbara

Force. He spent 20 years in the Air Force and traveled much of the world setting up Air Force
Communications. He served in the Gulf War. Jesse served fourteen of his twenty years at
Elemendorf AFB (now Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.). His wife, Barbara, died in Alaska in
1985 and in 1989 Jesse married Linda Sue Stafford. After retiring from active duty, he worked
remote radar sites for an Air Force Contractor. Through that job, he got to explore many parts of
Alaska. In 2013, the family moved to Nampa, Idaho.
Jesse was a fun-loving person, with a kind heart who could make anyone feel at home. He liked
to hunt and fish, travel, and to spend time with his many friends. Jesse could talk almost anyone
into to doing anything and made many a stranger feel like they were very special.
