JESUS MARQUEZ

Jesus Marquez, 84, of Nampa, formerly of Twin Falls passed away Tuesday August 11, 2020, at his son’s home where he lived his last days surrounded by family.

Jesus was the second oldest of his siblings born to Agrepino and Juliana Marquez on March 9, 1936 in San Jeronimo, Michoacán, Mexico. He married Leonor Madrigal on April 16, 1959 and was married for 48 wonderful loving years. They moved to Twin Falls in June of 1960. He worked as a farmer until 2003. They moved to Caldwell, Idaho in 2003 and stayed there until 2013. While in Caldwell, his wife, Leonor Marquez, passed on Tuesday August 8, 2006.  Then he moved to Nampa in 2013. Jesus was an honorable, gentle, and hardworking friend to many. He was also a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He brought a tremendous amount of love and joy to everyone who had the honor to meet him.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ellen Hayes, and her husband Scott of Molalla, OR. His eldest son Jose R. Marquez and his wife Alyssa, retired Army National Guard of Nampa, Idaho and his youngest son Julian Marquez and his wife Ludy of Marina, California, retired US Navy.

Grandchildren Jessie Marquez, Joshua Marquez, Jaymond Marquez and Josiah Ramon Marquez of Nampa, Idaho. Julian Marquez from Parshall, North Dakota. Ashley Winsor from Dickinson, North Dakota. Calvin and Anthony Hayes, of Molalla, OR.  

Great grandchildren, Sophia and Myah Winsor, of Dickinson, North Dakota, Syrin Marquez of Parshall North Dakota and Nevaeh, Calliope, and Esperanza Marquez of Nampa, Idaho.

Sisters Julia Marquez Pena, Maria Inez Marquez Pena Garza, Juanita Marquez Segundo, Aurelia Barrera, Enriqueta Mattson, Maria de la luz Marquez Garcia, Erma Marquez, Esmeralda Huapeo and Brother Fred Marquez. Preceded in death by Raul Marquez and Elida Marquez Godinez along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was loved by many and will be missed. Until we meet again.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mount Angel, Oregon. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Mount Angel.
