Jesus Euresti Trejo, 94, of Nampa, Idaho went home to be with our Lord in the early morning hour of May 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. Jesus was born in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 15, 1928, to Refugia Euresti and Delfino Trejo. He was the last surviving sibling of six children.
Jesus was a migrant worker following the agricultural seasonal crops in California, Idaho & Texas. In Texas 1954 he met and married the love of his life, Ramona Monreal. They started a family with their first-born daughter. Shortly after in 1957, they settled in Nampa where they were blessed with six boys and two more girls.
Jesus had incredible work ethic. During his lifetime he worked in various jobs, including a field director in the summer and a hide processor at Armours in the winter. While working at Carnation Potato Processing Plant, he started a successful ranching business and he retired from Carnation after 22 years of service.
While raising a family and being business driven, he purchased properties for rentals and land, which allowed his family to raise crops and livestock. As a rancher, he enjoyed raising his Black Angus cows, horses, chickens and once in a while a goat or two. He loved riding his horses, gardening, classic cars, BBQs with his family and fishing and hunting. He bred racehorses and spent many summers at Les Bois Park, where he enjoyed celebrating in the winner’s circle.
To all, he will be remembered as a very generous man who helped many people and his family without hesitation thought his life. Jesus will be remembered for his great pride and joy he had for his large family, instilling the values of integrity and hard work ethics, gaining an education and family unity. Above all else, he modeled for us to always serve the Lord and to always have faith in our lives.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 68 years Ramona, daughter Mary Lou Leal, sons; Andres (Delia), Tomás, David (Martita), Delfino, Jesse, and Michael (Michelle); 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, with 4 on the way this year; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his daughters Yolanda Pherigo and Sandra Trejo; parents Rufugia & Delfino; siblings Seledonio, Angelita, Cipriano, Lucina, and Tomás-Gabriel and a special Aunt Matilde Trejo.
As we grieve the loss of our father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, we would like to thank all the people who have provided food and spiritual comfort in our time of need.
Apa gracias por toda lo que hizo por nosotros. Usted fue un gran hombre de mucha fe. Decanse en Paz Apa!
