Johnnessa "Jonni" Joy Holloway

Johnnessa "Jonni" Joy Holloway was born on November 11, 2000, in Nampa, Idaho, to Markus and Johanna Holloway. She resided in Middleton, Idaho, with her family before she passed away in a tragic accident on March 17, 2022. She attended Centennial Baptist School in Caldwell, Idaho beginning in kindergarten through graduation. After graduation, she attended Multnomah University from 2019-2020, CWI from 2020-2021, and she had recently started college at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She was working towards becoming a children's pastor and desired to be an ordained minister for the Church of the Nazarene. She was a camp counselor and part of the worship band at Genesis camp at Trinity Pines in Cascade, Idaho. Jonni worked at Centennial Baptist Children's Center in the K3 classroom and was a teacher's aid to many other classrooms. She coached the girls' middle school volleyball, basketball, and co-ed middle school track at Centennial Baptist School. She loved all her students and athletes, and many of them looked up to her as a mentor. She was looking forward to coaching again in the next school year. Johnnessa loved to listen to music and sing. She had a playlist that she would listen to and sing for whatever emotion she was feeling at the time; sad, happy, discouraged, or mad. She loved Broadway musicals and the family joke was that her life was a musical and she sang all the lyrics. She loved her family and enjoyed nothing more than just hanging out or taking her sister to get coffee or go clothes shopping.

She is survived by her parents, Markus and Johanna Holloway and her siblings, Evan, Clayton, and Kaleesa Holloway; her paternal grandmother, Charlotte (Holloway) Smith; maternal grandparents, David and Sharonjoy Evans; numerous aunts and uncles, Primajoy Ramilingham(Kathir), Adena Bennett (Fred), David Evans(Rose), Melody Kinswa(Dave), Michelle Brooks (Gary); 14 cousins;  adopted Uncle Jim Budensiek and church Grandpa, Curtis Root. She was preceded in death by her paternal Grandpa(Papa), Tom Holloway.

A viewing will be held at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3001 12th avenue Rd, Nampa, Idaho 83686, on March 26, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The Memorial Service will begin after the viewing at 11:00 am. The services are under the direction of Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel 208-442-8171. A private family burial will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa.
